Personality
Grant has always felt like at outsider, he struggles to fit in though this is mostly in his mind. His self-consciousness makes it difficult for him to relax and results in him often coming across as awkward amongst groups of peers. Despite this he seems opinionated and outgoing, pushing himself to act confident despite his often low self-esteem. He can overcompensate for this at times resulting in a certain arrogance or forcefulness which can be off putting or even intimidating. For the most part however he is friendly and keen to get along with people. It is important to note however that he is not a push over and he is determined not to be seen as one. This manifests as a mulish stubbornness which can be difficult to deal with as he is prone to refusing to change his mind out of principle even if he knows he is wrong.
One on one Grant comes along as a far more relaxed and easy going person, someone most people could probably get along with if they gave him a chance. He has a dorky charm about him when he is not trying to act tough and a quirky sense of humour that not everyone gets. His self consciousness can be endearing when he isn’t trying too hard to hide it. He is a big guy but could be mistaken as harmless and ‘cuddly’ when his guard is down and it is true that there is that side of him. He can be sweet, and though sensitivity isn’t his forte he’ll give it a shot.
When he gets an idea in his head, something he has decided upon, he will pursue it relentlessly. His obstinacy and narrow minded ways in chasing his goals do give him an advantage of getting what he wants. However this is often at the expense of something or someone else, he often is too focused on his own actions to appreciate the affect they have on those around him. He is in no way a pacifist, he believes that sometimes force is necessary and is not afraid to act. He is only really brutal when he looses his temper, his inhibitions and morals vanish in the face of his rage. He believes in justice and revenge and can be terrifying in his pursuit of them.
Abilities:
Equipment:
What sort of gear do they use?
Weaknesses:
Vulnerabilities, even if it's as simple as 'He's human. Bullets hurt.' Nobody is perfect, and whether physical or psychological, there is generally an Achilles heel that will consistently trip you up.
Background:
Here's where your history comes in; explain their origins, their life story, how they came to be the hero/villain/ice cream truck driver they are now. To keep from having to go right back to edit it, you should usually write the background up to the point they become a hero, even if you plan on waiting a few threads before making their big debut. Four well-sized paragraphs bare (BARE) minimum, and that's only if they've led a thoroughly uninteresting life.
Base of Operations:
Where does your character mostly stick around?
Sample Post:
Here's where you wow us; you can roleplay either side of your character's 'secret identity,' and either write a brief story snippet with the character, or act as if you were opening a thread. Indeed, you can use your sample post FOR your first thread, if you're accepted.
