How about a section featuring the chronology of characters for DC beginnings? That way we can have an organized 'list' if you will...of character stories.

You mean basically a list of what threads your character was in in the correct order - with a notation as to what happened in that thread?
That sounds like a good idea to me. It would allow players to reference in game events that had occurred before - and maybe just as importantly keep track of events. It would also (it has to be said) be useful if characters get dropped, since anyone picking up that character in future would be able to see who their character knows and some of what they had been doing.

Exactly, and great points also. To me it would make alittle sense to have a chronology for DC Beginnings.

This is a good idea! I'd have done something with it already, but it's hard trying to decide the best way of things without my co-admin, and I've been swamped. (I'm doing most of the admin work on another site too.) But expect me to do something with this soon.

The best way would be to get players to do in in a thread specifically for their characters once a thread is finished (or their character leaves a thread). Depending on what forums are open for all players to post in it would probably fit best in 'what you need to know', as that would (hopefully) make it easy to find for new players. (And also the Mods if they need to consider Beginnings history when reviewing bios)
Some degree of freedom would probably be called for in cases where new players are taking on old characters, in so far that major events should be considered 'cannon' - for example Batman meeting Superman or the formation of the Justice League - while the specifics could be assumed to be slightly different. Meaning that a new player doesn't have to assume their character said exactly the same thing as a prior player did, if they want to write the character somewhat differently than before. For example Wonder Woman might have a different history in an 'original' bio than that which a later player gives her. In this case it would be assumed that anything the former player had WW say about that history was in fact in line with the newer history.
For threads where one player vanishes before it is finished, I'd give the players involved the choice if they wanted to assume the smaller events took place or not. Basically meaning that if two characters meet for the first time in an unfinished thread, they can decide if they want to have their characters meet again for the first time, or assume the thread was finished in so far as they have met.
And for a short reply that was rather long wasn't it....?
