I'm sorry to hear this. Part of my hesitance to start posting is that when I start, I go hard, fast, and often. But I have been in Clark's shoes as well, but my absence was....not quite as long. I would be willing to offer my own services as well, considering I am well versed in Marvel, and DC. Hopefully all of this will be sorted out, and soon, it's always a pity when a good board goes down, with notice or not.

Well, this board won't be going down any time soon if I have any say in the matter. Though the more I think on it, the more I think that it's probably best to move the forum if Clark doesn't get back. But I don't want anyone to feel the need to not post just because of that: we may simply limit ourselves to moving only the RP threads we consider to be the most important. Anyway, I've made the following decisions: - There will be a formal activity check from July 1st to July 7th - Anyone who doesn't show for it will lose their characters, including Clark.
- We will move if Clark doesn't return by then - And I'll start creating the forum we'll move to as time permits. I really shouldn't need any help making it since I'm a jobless recluse with no social life IRL and I know how to do it. It would simply be a matter of working on it during quieter times of the day. Though if I do need help, I've made note of who has offered what and I'll poke whoever I need.

I have to say I really like the idea of this forum. There are two real reasons for this: (1)I don't have the money to buy comic books every week so I cannot. keep. keep. track. of. every. single. change. that. happens. in. DC universe. As a result, rping on sites that rely heavily on past history can be a burden to me, as I have to consult wiki pages which gloss over important issues and half-explain things.
Additionally, DC comics is far older than Marvel. Many of the Golden or Silver Age heroes have had their history rewritten so many times it is simpler to just start from scratch. I will gladly contribute my knowledge of DC Comics to a new board, as well as serve any admin functions you need.

*Feels the need to be pedantic for no good reason*
Marvel and DC comics are more or less the same age. DC started in 1934, Marvel in 1938 - nether of them started under those names. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman all appeared around 1940, but then so did The Human Torch, Nimor and Captain America.
DC more or less took over the (superhero) comics in the 1950's, with Marvel not returning to challenge them until the early 60's.
Anyway.
I think Shayrera is doing the right thing here. Out of interest if you were to start a proboards board wouldn't you be able to simply copy most of the settings from here to the new board? (well, copy and paste).

Yep! In fact, if I keep the same color scheme and everything it will be nothing but copy/pasting. Should be a lot quicker than it was to build initially.

Might be a good idea to name it 'New Beginnings' to avoid confusion.

Aw, but then I'd have to photoshop the logo again. *gripe, gripe, just kidding* That would actually be a good name for it!

In giving advice, I often have a moment of short-sightedness. I read the replies to this and to be honest, I see the logic of Jonathan's post. I mean it seems that Clark disappeared suddenly, and probably has every intention of returning. So perhaps you just need wait, and ask for the password when he returns?
However, I will be more than willing to make the move. I really don't care either way, but can I see the logic in both decisions (moving and not moving).

I have moved sites before, All you do is copy an paste, basically reposting threads. I know most places you can go in a even reassign post count. Besides most of us would be willing to help, I'm sure of that.
But Moving would solve Most of the problems. Its just Logical to me.
