Lois' childhood was spent bouncing around different army bases with her father, General Sam Lane whom she refers to as "The General," and her younger sister. As a result of her moving from place to place and being brought up by an Army professional, Lois is a persistent, slightly impulsive, and head-strong woman. She often uses sarcasm to illustrate her point. Lois is a natural leader. She takes charge of, or takes over, most situations and is wildly brave, at times, often risking her life by crashing forward, only to have to either frantically talk her way out of or physically defend herself in dangerous situations. Many have come to realize that Lois Lane is a force to be reckoned with.
Lois isn't afraid to voice her opinion and stands strongly behind her beliefs. She loves being a firece competetor, a passion that helps in her line of work. Ms. Lane's fierce sort of personality causes her to be very protective of the ones she loves. She would do anything to ensure their safety even if it means putting herself in harm's way. Lois is also well adept at keeping secrets.
However, underneath the tough facade she shows to the world, Lois is full of insecurities. Whether she likes to admit it or not, she is constantly, even as an adult, seeking the approval of her father. As a child she never felt that The General was satisfied with any achievment his daughters ever reached. Lois blames herself for her sister's failures, feeling that she should've taken better care of her when they were kids after their mother's death.
While many believe she would do anything to get a good story, Lois would never betray the ones she loves or place her career above her support of Heros. One of her greatest fears is a world without Heros in it. She firmly believes in justice and truth, a trait that leads her to go to great lengths to find social injustice as a reporter.

She has a knack for beating her competition to the punch, scooping the best stories and reporting them first.
Equipment:
Other than an eye for a good story, Lois doesn't have any equipment.
Weaknesses:
Lois is stubborn, insecure about certain matters, speaks without thinking sometimes which can make her come off as insensitive, she is known to be a bit reckless and will dive head first into situations without thinking.
Background:
Lois is the daughter of General Sam Lane and Ella Lane. She has one younger sister names Lucy. Lois grew up an Army Brat and lived on many diferent bases, as her father held the station of General. When she was about six years old Lois' mother died from a serious case of cancer, leaving her husband alone with his two young girls. The General, as Lois refers to him as, became distant and threw himself into his job. He eventually sent Lucy off to a boarding school, but kept Lois with him. Dealing with one daughter was enough. They continued moving around and Lois was constantly being placed in new schools. Every year they were somewhere new.
She spent her High school years attending various schools around the country, trying any way she could to get her father's attention. One particular stunt would lead to her being hired at the Daily Planet. At the age of 16, Lois and her father were living at the base just outside of Metropolis. After visiting the office during a school trip, Lois had decided that journalism was her calling. She returned to Daily Planet alone and asked Perry White for a job, claiming she was really 19 years old. Perry knew she wasn't and told her to come back when she was old enough. He liked her spirit but she wasn't ready to work just yet. On her way out of the office, Lois overheard one of the employees saying that if anyone could get the scoop on Lex Luthor, they'd be at the top of Perry's good graces. Lois would end up breaking into Luthor's personal office, trying to swipe some files only to be caught by Luthor himself. But her mission hadn't failed completely. When Perry heard about her misadventure, he agreed to hire her as soon as she graduated college.
After graduating high school, she left her father's home and moved into an apartment in Metropolis, where she would attend MU. Lois worked extremely hard in college, majoring in journalism. She was a sensational reporter for the newpaper on campus. Her articles and various other papers she wrote in college were published and gained quite a bit of notoriety with bigger and more important papers. Just as Perry had promised when she was a teen, Lois joined the staff at the Daily Planet, where she became known as a fierce and competitive reporter. She's won multiple awards for her hard work. Little does she know, she's about to land the biggest story of her career...

Oh how she hated mornings. They weren't so bad once she got herself out of bed and moving but getting up was definitely the hardest part. Lois Lane rolled over in her bed and slammed her hand down on her alarm clock a little harder than she should have. Hazel eyes squinted at the birght digital numbers. A groan of disgust issued from her lips. Six a.m. Fantastic. She didn't have to be into work until 8 but Lois needed all the extra time she could get in the morning. The young women threw off her covers and slowly sat up in bed, looking around her red-painted bedroom. She stretched her limbs and yawned, trying to shake the sleepy feeling from her head. Lois pushed herself up off the bed and disappeared into the bathroom. A hot shower was just what she needed.
About 15 minutes later, Lois stepped out of the shower feeling all fresh and rejuvinated. She took her towel and quickly dried all the excess water away from her body and hair, wrapping it around herself afterwards. She dried the mirror with the hand towel hanging on her bathroom's white walls. She reached underneath the sink and grabbed the blow-dryer, shoving the adapter into the outlet. With a flip of the switch, warm air blew gently against Lois' long, dark locks. In no time at all, her hair was completely dry. She swapped the dryer for the curling iron. While the iron took it's sweet time heating up, she applied her daily regime of makeup. Cover-up, blush, eye liner, mascara, and a little bit of shadow. To some it seemed like a lot but Lois had seen women who wore twice that amount. She achieved that "Yes, I have makeup on but you really can't tell" look. People weren't supposed to know you had to wear it. Having finished the cosmetic part of her routine, Lois began curling her hair into bigger, loose curls that rested gently down her back and shoulders.
Lois returned to her bedroom and made a beeline for the closet. She chewed her lip gently as searched through the small walk-in, trying to decide on what to wear. Her hazel eyes came to rest on the black jacket and pencil skirt her sister had bought for her. Lois smiled and pulled the outfit off the hanger, pausing at one of the shelves on her way out of the walk-in to grab the purple, lacey camisole to wear underneath. Lois set the clothes out on her bed and turned to the dresser next to her bed where she kept her underwear and nylons. Bra, panties, and nylons all in place, Lois slipped into the skirt and camisole, pulling on the jacket last. She went back to her closet and slipped into a pair of three inch, black stilettos. Lois flicked her eyes to the clock which now read 7:30 a.m. Her last stop before heading out the door was infront of the mirror she had hanging next to her closet. After thoroughly checking her appearance, making sure everything was in place, Lois smiled and left her bedroom. On her way out of the apartment, she grabbed her cell, purse, and keys. She stopped at the front door, trying to remember if she was forgetting anything. When she couldn't, Lois slipped out the door, locking it up behind her.

The cab screetched to a halt outside the Daily Planet at exactly 8 o'clock. Lois climbed out of the backseat and set her coffee, which she had stopped to pick up on her way to the office, on top of the car so she could fish her wallet out. Knowing the right amount, seeing as she took a cab almost everyday because she refused to ride the subway, Lois pulled the bills out and tossed them through the passenger window. She grabbed her coffee as the cabbie muttered his thanks and then sped away.
The young reporter made her way through the building, up it's many floors, and finally into the bustling office if the Planet. Lois sipped her coffee, heels clicking loudly as she made her way through the already chaotic floor. She smiled and nodded to a few co-workers who weren't already buried in their work. The hum of computers that hadn't been turned off all night and the noise of countless telephones ringing filled the air, on top of the endless chatter of employees. A blurry eyed young man ran past her, his clothes and appearance so dishevled Lois was sure he had been up all night, working on whatever piece of news he was assigned. A smirk crossed her face as she recalled the long nights she used to spend in front of the computer screen.
Lois had been just about to enter her office when she heard her name being shouted across the room. White's voice always rang out lound and clear no matter how loud it was in the office. She sighed as she turned around and headed back across the floor. She pushed open his door, a playful smirk on her face, and said, "Isn't a little early to be shouting..." Lois stopped abruptly just inside the door, which slammed shut, causing her to jump slightly. She had not been expecting anyone else to be in the office, so when her hazel eyes landed on a young man with bright, eager eyes. Lois looked him over quickly before turning back to White. "What is it you need, White?"
