This is intended for anyone to explain why they chose to play that particular character, your motivations for said character, and where you ultimately see your character developing for DC Beginnings. Feel free to add in as much detail as you'd like As for me, I originally wanted Superman but chose Bruce simply because I've never played Batman before. The moment I registered I began to have ideas on how to incorporate alot of Batman's mythology into DC Beginnings, the original intent..to me..was to have Batman debut as the second costumed persona after Superman. Yeah, I'm traditional like that. My intent is to have Batman remain a dark and mysterious persona not only for Gotham City's underworld, but also for the superhuman community as well. Bruce is quite distrustful not only of criminals and psychopaths, but also towards politicians and superpowered individuals because Bruce figures they could also pose a threat to the world as well. That's just his overall nature: the detective that observes from the shadows and draws his own conclusions. In time I plan to have Batman progress from 'Dark Knight' to 'Dark Detective' and possibly to 'Caped Crusader' but keeping within a realistic fashion. Keeping true to the comics first and foremost and staying away from the Schumacher styles as much as possible!

I chose Hawkgirl because I play her on another site and she's fun. I created her on that other site upon a recommendation from a friend when I asked her which hero she thought that I'd be good at. I'd never really heard of Hawkgirl before that, but then I watched all of the Justice League series and I got hooked. I love playing powerful female characters, and Hawkgirl is fun because she's not shy about using that power.
Hawkgirl will do as much as possible of what she does best: smashing things with her mace. ;D And also being surprisingly sentimental when the moment calls for it.
But what I'd eventually like to do with her is recreate the Thanagarian invasion when the time is right - complete with Hawkgirl backstabbing the Justice League, changing her mind, and then backstabbing the Thanagarians instead. Why? Because I felt that they never did really portray the consequences of that very well. That was the point in the animated series when they expanded the league, and even though they did a brief things with Hawkgirl after that, it was more highlights of her return to the league rather then actually showing anything from the core. I wanna fix that.
And then there's Poison Ivy, lol. I watched the original Batman animated series so much as a kid, and she was the only female character I liked. Well, I liked Catwoman when I was really little, but she's just not... badass. She tries, but she fails. It's all about Poison Ivy. Also, multiple people I whose opinion I respect have told me I'm good at her, so I like playing her because I feel confident as I play the character that I'm doing a good job - it's a good feeling.
I think that she's one of those characters that just hasn't been done 'right' anywhere that I've seen her though. I'm not very familiar with the comics version of her, but in the other things I've seen they always seem to overdo... something. Either they forget that she's very intelligent, or they have her killing everyone right and left, or she starts seducing men for the apparent fun of it. No, no, no! I play her the right way (or at least my opinion of what's right) and that makes me happy. Though I ought to warn you guys that Poison Ivy played right becomes very powerful and dangerous.
I don't really have a lot of long term plans for her aside from the gradual transition from what she is now to what she becomes. Though you're going to kick yourself for sending her to Arkham the first time, Batman...

This isn't my first time playing Starfire. It's my second- I played her on a Young Justice/Teen Titans site. What got me into playing her was the portrayal of her on the Teen Titans TV show- chipper and sociable. Her linguistic errors and lack of understanding about Earth culture- as well as her ability to claim just about anything she does is part of "Tamaranean culture"- well, that was just too funny and I couldn't pass up the chance to have some fun with that. At the same time, there's a darker side to her which doesn't come out much in the TV series. She's been raped and tortured and no doubt has some trauma from that. Because this version of Starfire that I'm playing here doesn't have the Titans to turn to for help, she's going to be more troubled, confused and scared until she finds some people to trust. And Shayera, how could you not love Harley Quinn? She's a homicidal maniac with self-esteem issues a mile wide and enough baggage to sink the Titantic. Unless you don't like deranged characters like that...but that's just too silly a thought to contemplate!

I love deranged characters! But that's not my problem with Harley - my problem with Harley is that she's comparatively weak. Not that I dislike weak characters so much, but they're never my favorites.
